Really enjoyed working with John and his team. Nearly a perfect experience with two thoughts... I wish the buy/sell experience was more personal. It's a big deal to hand over a home and being on both sides - we've really valued having a relationship with our sellers in the past. We have done non-traditional purchases where this has been allowed and I think the fear of litigation is depriving buyers and sellers to fully enjoy their transactions. There is just too much paperwork. Having recently purchased in NM and sold in Co - it shows how 'over the top' the requirements are on disclosures, forms, etc. Even small things like signing a form that our personal property was part of the sale... which was already in the purchase contract. This also happened in our NM purchase so it's not just firm or state specific, but we'd be a better society to have more of a handshake mindset (in my opinion) than layers of onerous paperwork. I think it would also be nice for a full printed copy of the final closing package to be mailed to buyer and seller or have it as an option vs e-docs only. "I recently worked with John Madron for my purchase of a condo in Keystone. Prior to this purchase, I had been researching the market for quite some time and had compiled an extensive list of requirements for the ideal property. When my condo was listed, I contacted John and he immediately toured the property, and quickly created a video and 3D tour so I could get a true picture of it (as I could not view the property in person immediately). My work schedule can be tough, and John was extremely accommodating (emails/texts, calls after working hours, and meeting me on the weekend to tour the property). Throughout the negotiation and closing process, John was very responsive, patient with my questions (no question was too dumb!), and made my purchase feel special. While the property was not new, it was "new to me", and John went above and beyond to make sure my interests as a buyer were protected and that my closing was as smooth as possible. In addition, John proactively worked with my lender and listing agent to facilitate closing a full week early, which was an unexpected bonus (i.e. a few extra days to hit the slopes!). "We originally met John while vacationing in Summit County early in 2012. When we returned in March 2013 John, thinking we may have returned for Spring Break, proactively contacted us to understand if we were still in the market for a vacation home. After meeting to discuss location, property requirements, and pricing John quickly went to work identifying properties in both Breckenridge and Keystone's River Run that offered excellent value for price. We settled on a two bedroom in River Run Village less than 250 yards from the gondola.
