Growing up in northern New Mexico, Leslie has always felt at home in the mountains. She started the move north into Colorado in 2000 to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder. In 2005, the desire to move set in again. Having visited Steamboat Springs several times during her years in Boulder, it seemed like a perfect fit; a ski town with a real community feel. She is now proud to call Steamboat her home. She and her husband were married here in the fall of 2010 with the beautiful changing colors of Mt. Werner as their backdrop; you can't get much better than that! Her newest and biggest adventure came in 2017 when she and her husband welcomed their first child. Leslie could not think of a better place to raise their daughter.
In her free time, you will find Leslie enjoying the Steamboat lifestyle! Skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, tubing the Yampa River, just relaxing on her front porch watching the sunset - anything to get out and enjoy the outdoors with her husband Dan, daughter Colette and dog Fitzroy. As Coleman says, "it's why we live here"! She loves music, so you can always find her at the free concerts in the summer. She enjoys them so much she has a second job as the Administrative Assistant for the Steamboat Free Summer Concerts. She enjoys cooking (and eating!), trying new recipes or digging back to her New Mexican roots to make a big batch of homemade enchiladas with green and red chile. Leslie also loves to travel. In fact, she and her husband left Steamboat in the summer of 2011 to travel around Europe, then came back to the US for a road trip through the west. The curse of the Yampa Valley held true for them, and they came back with lots of great stories and memories, but couldn't stay away for too long.
Leslie started her real estate career when she moved to Steamboat in 2005 after getting her first job in town right here at The Group Real Estate She spent several years doing a variety of jobs from working at the front desk, doing marketing and graphic design and working as a personal assistant. She got her real estate license in 2012 and has been working with Coleman Cook as a part of the Cook Group ever since.

They took the time to get to know what we wanted and where we wanted to live. With the competitive market and low inventory, they kept us abreast of properties that met our criteria. They videoed multiple properties over that time and finally we found the right one, offered, accepted and closed. They know the area and connected us with a lender, inspector and title company, all which led to a smooth closing. They have remained available for questions and consults as we transition into our new property..
