Doing More Than Just Keeping Fit

As the sun rises over Steamboat Springs on another stunning Wednesday morning, a group of 20 adults and teens are working out for a cause at the Brent Romick Rodeo Arena. Reall Regan, a fitness instructor and Realtor® at Colorado Group Realty, leads this regular crew in a workout session, which is designed to do more than just keep people fit.

Four years ago, Regan and her husband Jason founded Rise Steamboat with the intent to combine two of the Steamboat community’s greatest loves. “Rise Steamboat bridges the community’s heart for philanthropy and passion for fitness,” Regan said.

Participants make a charitable donation per class or for the full season and the Regans privately fund ongoing expenses such as equipment, advertising and permit fees. To date, they’ve donated $15,000 to local non-profit organizations. Over $3,500 has been raised in the last three weeks, largely in part to the Colorado Group Realty Foundation’s matching $10,000 donation campaign, and a generous donation by another sponsor, Central Park Management.

“I’m in awe of what has transpired in the past four years for Rise Steamboat,” Regan said. “The generosity and support from our participants and sponsors over the years has been incredible and inspiring.”

“CGR loves to support the causes that our near and dear to our team’s hearts.  To see how Reall and Jason have given so much back to the community makes us all proud,” commented Steve Goldman, CGR’s CEO.
